Denim Days

On Friday, June 23, Nisivoccia LLP employees who wore jeans to work donated to the not-for-profit client, Halos for Angels. The mission of Halos for Angels is to nurture its community’s well-being by extending to its family members temporary relief, comfort and support when sudden tragedy hits home. For those who suffer emotionally, comforting support and companionship are extended by professionals and volunteers who are honored and most willing to help others in need. By networking with community families, organizations and volunteers, HFA is giving back with temporary services to families as they journey ahead to a stronger, stable environment once again.

In the Community

On Thursday, June 8, Nisivoccia LLP's Andrew Imhof, Erin Schwartz, Cory Francis and Jack McCracken participated in the Hope for Veterans "Veterans Flag Day 5K Run and Fun Walk." The run/walk started at 7 p.m. and took place at ​the Lyons VA Campus. We are proud of our runners for supporting Hope for Veterans, and helping them take strides to end homelessness among veterans.

On June 13, a total of 13 staff and family members represented the Nisivoccia LLP team at the 9th annual Merry Heart/Roxbury Community Benefit 5k. Despite the brutal heat, our entire team was able to finish the 5k. The course began at Eisenhower Middle School and went through the local roads of Roxbury Township. Net proceeds of the race went to local volunteer and non-profit organizations, such as: Roxbury High School Project Graduation, Roxbury First Aid Squad, Roxbury Fire Department, Roxbury Day Care Center, Roxbury Social Services, Kiwanis Scholarship Fund and St. Therese Building Fund.

On June 22, Nisivoccia LLP hosted it's annual "Prepare for a Successful Audit" Seminar for Board of Education clients. The seminar was held at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, and began at 9:00 a.m. This year, Valerie Dolan, CPA, Partner, Man Lee, Principal, CPA, Heidi Wohlleb, CPA, Partner, Kathi Mantell, CPA, Partner and Marcia Geltman, CPA, Partner presented on various topics. This year's Audit Seminar had a great turn out, with total of around 75 attendees, many of which attend the seminar each year. ​
