On Monday, February 20, Nisivoccia LLP employees who wore jeans to work donated to the New Jersey Special Olympics. Over 6,000 people, including one of the firm's own employees, participated in the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights on Saturday, Friday 25. The Polar Bear Plunge raises money for the NJ Special Olympics as participants jump into the freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The firm contributed $245 to the organization.

On Wednesday, February 1, Nisivoccia LLP hosted a "Planning for Retirement: Saving, Succession Planning and Tax Strategies" seminar. The presentation was given by Tax Partner, Marcia Geltman, CPA, Glenn Schwier, CPA, JD and Damien Paumi, CFP, AIF, CRPC. The seminar was held at Nisivoccia LLP, and had almost 40 attorneys in attendance. Topics included saving for retirement & tax saving opportunities, traditional IRA vs. Roth IRA, critical dates, IRA common mistakes to avoid and more.
On February 8, Nisivoccia LLP representatives Steve Van Houten, Human Resources, Chris Perrotta, CPA, and Laura Lampron, Marketing Director, visited Fairleigh Dickinson University to speak to Beta Alpha Psi business honors students. The presentation touched on the business as a whole, how to give a good first impression during interviews, leadership and accounting, using social media as a professional and more.
On February 28, Nisivoccia LLP hosted a Networking Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in the firm to mingle with the Roxbury Chamber of Commerce members.

Rose Jacobsen, Mark Cuozzo and Caitlin Jannucci, all accountants at Nisivoccia LLP, received news in February that they have passed all four parts of the CPA exam.
In February, the Quality of Life Committee began the "Guess How Many" contests for tax season. Every few weeks, a jar is filled with candies and employees can guess how many candies are in the jar. The employee who guesses the closest is awarded a gift card to a local restaurant.
On February 10, the Quality of Life Committee hosted "Bagel Day." The committee brought in three dozen bagels with spreads and toppings to share with the entire firm.
On February 11, 30 Nisivoccia LLP employees attended the Stress Factory Comedy Club to see Vinnie Brand perform.
On February 20, Nisivoccia LLP held its annual President's Day Potluck Luncheon. Employees brought in several dishes of their favorite foods to share and enjoyed each other's company.
