Informing Residents at Overlook Hospital
Heath care accountants Deirdre Hartmann, Harlene Stevens and Leslie Thomas spoke to a group of internal residents at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. The transition from resident to practice was addressed from a financial and practice management perspective. Specific topics included: budgeting, taxes and maximizing revenue, EMR Meaningful Use and trends in physician compensation.
Nisivoccia Hosts Women Physicians’ Networking Dinner
Health care accountants Deirdre Hartmann and Leslie Thomas hosted the May 31, 2012 Women Physicians’ Networking Dinner in Basking Ridge, NJ. They presented “Navigating the new Realities in Physician Reimbursement” which focused on Pay for Performance Programs and the impact of Accountable Care Organizations on physician reimbursement and compensation. A discussion period with Q & A followed the presentation.

Valerie A. Dolan, CPA, RMA, PSA, presented "Preparing for Your Audit" at the CDK Systems Inc. user's meeting on May 9, 2012. CDK Systems, Inc. provides software to meet New Jersey State accounting requirements for a local school district. Nisivoccia LLP proudly serves clients in over 150 local governmental entities including in excess of 60 school boards.
NJ Association of School Business Administrators Spring Conference
Partners Bud Jones, Kathi Mantell, Heidi Wohlleb and Principal Val Dolan will attend the 50th annual spring conference of school business administrators on June 6 – 8, 2012 in Atlantic City, NJ. During this conference, attendees will be able to pick-up copies of our firm literature, especially our newly designed services for school business administrators brochure.
New Service
Nisivoccia LLP introduced a new service in April 2012, “Internal Control Policies and Procedures for Religious Organizations.” The sales campaign began with targeted synagogues in New Jersey and will include churches and other organizations. Partner Marcia Geltman, CPA is heading the initiative for the firm.
Denim Fridays
Community is one of our core firm values and as such, we pride ourselves on giving back to the communities in which our clients and we serve. The firm implemented the program “Denim Fridays” as an opportunity for our employees to actively participate in helping to support our client’s missions. One Friday per month, we select a client or charity to support. Employees who wear jeans that day contribute a dollar amount to the selected charity. Approximately 40 employees participate each month. Recent charities included Community Children’s Museum and the Jersey Battered Women’s Service.
2012 Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty Survey Results are in
Nisivoccia LLP conducted their first client satisfaction survey during this year’s tax season. 21% of our clients returned the survey and were overwhelmingly positive regarding their satisfaction with services received, their individual tax professional as well as Nisivoccia LLP as a firm.
